Excerpt from Ruin and Rule (Book #1: Pure Corruption MC Series):
"Down and Down I spiraled, deeper and deeper into his clutches. The moment I bought this book I knew it was going to leave me in complete "What The Heck Just Happened" mode. I was staying up late reading this and savoring it all at the same time so I didn't finished it so quickly.
My life - Past, Present, and Future - lost
all purpose the second I stared into his soul."
Arthur "Kill" Killian broke my heart and put it back together just to break it all over again! I loved and hated him but that hate didn't last when he shows you how broken he is. Throughout Ruin & Rule we see a big bad sexy alpha who lives a life as the President of Pure Corruption MC, being a leader isn't easy when no one wants you their without having to work for it and no one knows you, but he will make sure to show them different to make sure he can get his revenge. No Matter What.
The pain Kill hides everyday is the one thing he can handle because it drives him to plot his revenge after losing the one person he loved most. And taking a job to sell a few women once to get a step closer to his goal will be worth it, but he doesn't expect one of them to look so much like the girl he fell in love with. And definitely her to doing things and saying things that have him making decisions he promised he would never do.
Now as for the main female (Won't name because she has no memory) wakes up in a world she no longer remembers and despite the fact that most women should be afraid to wake up being kidnapped, man handled, and forced to watch her be sold, she holds her ground and remains calm throughout it all. She had qualities that really bugged me when she would constantly nag at Kill with a billion questions and I started to feel for Kill when he got irritated but I also understood why she would be like that, if I lost my memory I'd definitely have a billion questions to ask myself. As for everything else I loved every memory she would have they were funny and heartbreaking it had my heart fluttering with how much love she had for the boy in her past. I definitely loved how much she saw through Kill no matter his flaws and still fell for the man who was hurt and carried so much pain on his shoulders.
Throughout this whole story I was sucked in and loved everything about it. I love a great biker series. You had my emotions out of wack with page!
I recommend this book to everyone who loves a good biker book that has you believing there might be a happy ending but in the end your mouth is dropped wondering what the heck just happened!
Can't wait for the next book!!!
" Kill bared his teeth, looking wild, unpredictable, and almost insane.
"I'll tell you how we know each other,"
His head bent, pressing his lips against my ear,
" I'm your worst fucking nightmare and now I've got all the power."
"I'd been spoon-fed lies all my life, I'd become a master at smelling untruths.
And the woman currently residing in my home - the women who'd healed me - smelled terrifyingly toxic.
A scent that made me want to run with one heartbeat and then fuck her with the next.
She made me face things I was no longer strong enough to face.
She made me look past her scam and crave." -Kill
"Owning something so precious made me the richest man alive. But losing it made me sink into destitution so bleak and damned,I had no chance of crawling out of the darkness.I didn't want to." -Kill
"Some say everything happens for a reason.
That bad things happen to good people.
That evil comes for the purest of us,
and destinies can change in a blink.
I call bullshit.
I say we're all fucking puppets being controlled by others.
There's no such thing as freedom.
No such thing as fate.
They're all carefully maintained illusions."
